Dr. Odobescu is an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Iowa, where he has been in practice for three years. He attended medical school at McGill University in Montreal and continued his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Montreal. Following residency, Dr. Odobescu pursued further training in Microsurgery and Hand Surgery at the Buncke Clinic in San Francisco. He is board certified in the United States and Canada in Plastic Surgery and has additional certification in Hand Surgery. Dr. Odobescu’ s clinical interest is in the field of microsurgical reconstruction in the setting of trauma, cancer and burn. His research interests are in the field of surgical simulation and venous flap design and physiology.
